 Saving the life of a dog or cat is easier than you think. “You can do it!” Every day, we say those four magical words to people around the country who want to help animals in need but are unsure of their abilities. 

 There are two reasons why you might want to learn how to trap cats humanely: 

•  To rescue animals in danger. 
•  For trap/neuter/return (TNR) 

If you have room in your home and in your heart for a new dog or cat, pet adoption makes sense for lots of reasons. You will be saving a life, You will be saving money, You will reduce commercial breeding, You can reduce house training!

 These routine medical procedures not only help control overpopulation, but they may also prevent medical and behavioral problems from developing, allowing your pet to lead a longer, healthier life. 

 Some dogs do fine living with cats; others simply cannot live safely with felines. Sometimes, a dog can live with certain cats (depending on their age, temperament and activity level), but not others.  Even if your dog has successfully lived with cats in the past, it is important to remember that each dog and each cat is an individual and therefore each introduction is different. 

We fight the big fights to end suffering for all animals. Together with millions of supporters, we take on puppy mills, factory farms, the fur trade, trophy hunting, animal cosmetics testing and other cruel industries. We rescue and care for thousands of animals every year through our Animal Rescue Team's work and other hands-on animal care services.
